Roulette Guide

Objective

The object of Roulette is to bet on the number on which the ball will eventually land.

Roulette Basics

  • Our casino offers European Roulette. The wheel is divided into 37 segments. These are numbered 1-36, with a single zero.

  • The segments are colored red and black alternately, starting with the red number one. The zero segment is colored green.

  • A ball is flicked in a clockwise direction around the outer rim of the Roulette wheel, which spins in a counterclockwise direction.

  • Numbers that match those on the wheel are arranged on the Roulette table in three columns of 12 numbers. Your stake is placed on the table and is considered either an outside bet or an inside bet.

  • You, the player, place a bet on a number, color, odds or a group of numbers on the Roulette table. The wheel is spun, and winnings are determined by the slot on the wheel where the ball makes a final stop. The amount of the payout depends on how the bet was placed.

Roulette Specifics

Inside Bets:

Straight Up:
You can bet on any number on the table (1-36, 0) by placing a chip on it. Winning bets are paid at 35-1. If the ball lands on the 0, all bets are lost with the exception of those straight bets placed on the 0.

Split (Two-Number Bet):
You can place a bet on two adjacent numbers by placing a chip on the line between them. If the ball lands on either number, you win. The odds are 17-1.

Street Bet or Row Bet (Three-Number Bet):
You can place a bet on any three numbers in a row across the table by placing a chip on the outer line of that row. If the ball lands on any of the three numbers, you win the bet at 11-1.

Corner Bet:
You can place a bet on any four adjacent numbers by placing the chip on the corner where all four numbers meet. A winning bet is paid out at 8-1.

Six Number Bet:
You can place a bet on the outside line between two rows, covering six numbers. You win if the ball lands on any of these numbers. The payout is 5-1.

Neighbors:
You can bet on the neighbors, which is a group of numbers clustered together on the wheel (for example, 20,14,31,9 and 22). See below for a full list of bets and their corresponding payout ratios.

Outside Bets:

Any Odd or Even Number:
You can bet on whether the ball will land on an odd or an even number. Winning bets are paid out at 1-1.

Any Red or Black Number:
You can bet on whether the ball will land on a red number or a black number. Winning bets are paid out at 1-1.

Low or High Number:
You can bet on whether the ball will land on a number between 1 and 18 or 19-36. Winning bets are paid out at 1-1.

Column Bet:
You can place a bet at the end of any of the three columns of numbers. If the ball lands on any number within that column, you win. The odds are 2-1.

1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12:
You can bet on whether the ball will land on a number between 1 and 12, 13 and 24, or 25 and 36. Winning bets are paid at 2-1.

The more precise your guess is, the larger the payout will be. See chart below:

Disconnections

Communication problems over the Internet may cause sudden disconnections. Our software has been designed to cope with these disconnections and protect you from unjustified losses.

If you are playing Roulette as the Dealer and a disconnection occurs after you have clicked the Approve button, the play will continue until the Player has finished his turn. This will have no effect on you.

If you are playing as the Player and the disconnection occurs before you click Spin, your bet will be returned to your balance. If it occurs after you click Spin, the round will continue and your balance will be adjusted to reflect your win or loss.

After connection is re-established, you can enter the History page and see the results of the last round (History is available for Real Money mode only).

Playing as Dealer

Our casino offers you the unique option of playing the role of the Dealer. This option increases your chances of winning, as you gain some of the favorable odds reserved for the Casino. At the end of every round, the Casino takes a commission of 1.75% of the total bets placed against the Dealer.

Example
A Dealer chooses to play in Table II. This means that the Dealer meets the minimum requirements for playing in this table type: a minimum of 850 Dealer Points and a minimum balance of $360. The system then matches a Player to the Dealer and after the Dealer approves the next round, the Player places his bets on the table. Let's say the Player places $1 on 14, $5 on 23, $5 on the corner of 16,17,19,20 and $5 on Red for a total bet of $16. The Player spins the Roulette wheel and the ball lands on number 7. The Player loses $11 on his inside number bets and wins $5 on his outside bet, as 7 is Red.
All in all, the Player loses $6 ($11-$5). As the total bet against the Dealer was $16, the Casino takes a commission of $0.28 (1.75%*16), which means the Dealer wins $5.72 ($6-.28) on this round. The Casino's edge over the player in Roulette is 2.7% (bear in mind that this 2.7% is how the Casino makes a profit on Roulette) so as the Dealer you actually gain an edge of 1.2%.

Minimum Dealer Points and Balance

You can play as Dealer once you have accumulated enough Dealer Points and have enough money in your balance, according to the game's limits.

The minimum balance required is a bit higher than the total winnings of the Player in a given round. This is calculated as: 2 * (Maximum Bet outside) + 156 * (Maximum Bet inside, per cell) + (Casino commission = 1.75%) *[(Maximum Bet outside) + 12 * (Maximum Bet inside, per cell)]

Game Options

"Approve" Button / "Auto-Approve" Feature
When playing as Dealer, before each round commences you must approve the next round. After you approve the round, the Player can place his bets and play. The Auto-Approve feature allows you to automatically approve the next rounds, without having to approve every round individually.
